I laughed sooooooo much!<\/span><\/p>\n

Have you ever seen an improv show?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cImprov\u201d is short for \u201cimprovisational theater.\u201d The actors make up the characters, plot, script, and even songs on the spot! It\u2019s amazing!<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re the sort of person who relies on a script for your business presentations (I used to be the same), you probably can\u2019t even imagine being able to do everything spontaneously like that, right?<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the foundations of improv is a concept called \u201cyes, and.\u201d This means that you say \u201cyes\u201d to what another actor is saying or doing (you accept it) and then you build on that idea.<\/span><\/p>\n

Coincidentally, earlier this month, I had lunch with global keynote speaker and cross-cultural communication strategist Natsuyo Lipschutz. She\u2019d been my guest on the Sasuga! Podcast back in 2020, but I was finally meeting her in person for the first time in 2024!<\/span><\/p>\n

On the podcast, Natsuyo spoke about how she embraced \u201cyes, and\u201d in her life when she was diagnosed with breast cancer the day before a speech contest.<\/span><\/p>\n
