Do you listen to podcasts? They’re a GREAT way to learn new skills and get inspired. You can also use them to improve your listening skills in your non-native language.
If you have a busy schedule, one BIG advantage of podcasts is that you can listen to them on your smartphone while doing something else, such as commuting, exercising, or catching up with housework.
Podcasts are becoming increasingly popular around the world. According to a Reuters Institute Digital News Report, respondents who said they had listened to a podcast in the month leading up to a 2018 survey totaled 58 percent from South Korea, 33 percent from the United States, and 26 percent from Japan.
I’ve been enjoying podcasts for several years and often thought about starting one for listeners interested in building communication skills and confidence for global business.
I feel like the time is right.
Wouldn’t January 2019 be a good time to start?
I’m planning to publish weekly episodes of around 20 to 30 minutes every Monday in English. Sometimes, I’ll share practical communication tips. Sometimes, I’ll answer listener questions. Sometimes, I’ll interview a guest who I believe can educate and inspire you.
Post in the comments below or contact me if you have questions or suggestions.
Until then, if you’d like to get a taste of what podcasts are like, below are three in which I was interviewed.
