How has your 2018 been?
For me, it’s been an amazing year of contribution, growth, and joy. I’ve invested heavily in my own development through seminars, courses, and coaching. What I learned clearly had a positive impact on my business, clients, and community, and will continue in 2019.
I wanted to share with you five Sasuga! highlights, which include resources that you might find valuable for your own development.
1. The Sasuga! Circle – membership for communication skills
Earlier this year, I was thrilled to start this educational, supportive, and fun online membership for individuals who are keen to build their communication skills and confidence for global business consistently even with a busy schedule.
We have an active online forum where members post questions, successes, and encouragement, as well as a monthly Q&A video conference call, and a dedicated online training library that continues to grow.
2. Sasuga You! Self-Discovery Weekend – working women’s retreat
After the great success of our first retreat in 2017, we ran two more this year.
The Sasuga You! Self-Discovery Weekend is an opportunity for women to learn how to communicate more effectively with themselves (overcome limiting beliefs) and others (speak up with confidence), to connect with inspiring women, and to refresh with hot springs and yoga.
The new one-night format makes it easier for women to take time to join the retreat.
3. Speak Like An Expert – online presentation skills course
We upgraded this self-study, self-paced online course, which teaches presentation essentials, including audience analysis, structure, body language and voice, and slide creation. Techniques can be used in conferences, client presentations, and team meetings for clear, confident communication.
For cost effectiveness, several of my corporate clients are investing in the course for their colleagues in combination with workshops or coaching with me. We can maximize coaching impact in the sessions because the participants have studied presentation essentials online in advance.

4. Engage Your Audience – FREE online mini course
If you’re not sure whether an online course like Speak Like An Expert would be good for you, I created the Engage Your Audience 3-part mini-course. You can learn the three biggest presentation mistakes and nine simple techniques to avoid them. This will also give you a taste of how an online course works. And it’s FREE! You can get it right now and study when you’re ready.
5. Weekly Newsletter and Upcoming Podcast
By the end of 2018, I will have sent 145 editions of my weekly Sasuga! Tips For You newsletter, in which I give free communication tips and resources.
My exciting announcement for 2019 is that I’m starting a podcast! I’m planning to publish weekly episodes of around 20-30 minutes every Monday in English, sharing practical tips for global business communication and interviewing guests who can educate and inspire listeners.
This will also be great practice for those who want to improve their English listening skills.
The best way to keep informed about the podcast is through Sasuga! Tips For You.
