Here in Japan and also in my home country – the UK – we tend not to talk about our strengths.

For example, when I’m coaching Japanese clients in presentation skills and they review a video of themselves, I ask them what they did well. Much of the time, people start to tell me what they did NOT do well:

“I said ‘er’ a lot”

“I don’t look confident”

“I’m not being clear…”

In some cases, I have to ask them multiple times before the message sinks in that I’m asking about their STRENGTHS, not their weaknesses.

We’re just so used to looking at our weaknesses, where we’re not good enough, and what we “should” improve, right?

But have you ever considered your strengths and how recognizing them could help you and others?

In Episode 164 of the Sasuga! Podcast, you’ll hear

  • 4 reasons to recognize your strengths
  • How to discover your top 5 strengths through a simple quiz
  • How to make the most of your strengths every day

Enjoy!
