Some years ago, I was coaching a Japanese CFO of a global company in presentation skills.

Through our sessions, he gradually started to share with me his broader challenge – communicating effectively with his colleagues.

The CFO was frustrated because he would carefully give his team very detailed explanations of what he wanted them to do, but they didn’t do it.

As George Bernard Shaw said back in the early 1900s

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.

Perhaps you’ve experienced this?

You do your best to explain, but somehow people don’t seem to listen to you.

In Episode 167 of the Sasuga! Podcast, you’ll hear

  • How this CFO changed his communication and started getting the results he wanted from his team (and you can too)
  • How it’s important to change your communication depending on who you’re talking with
  • How “less effort, more impact” applies to communication too

Enjoy!
