It was the same when he came to Japan.
You probably recognize that, in many countries, people are expected to be agreeable – at least on the surface, even if they secretly disagree.
You may have heard the saying, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything.”
Venezuela is different. People are very straightforward. When something needs to be solved, people speak up.
They say in Spanish, “Voy a decir lo que tengo que decir” (I’m going to say what I have to say).
