There was a time when I used to keep my phone plugged in by my bed and the first thing I did when I got up was check messages. Throughout the day, I was constantly checking from my computer or my phone.
I told myself I was being responsive and efficient.
Today, I consider my old behavior to be reactionary and irresponsible – not to mention exhausting.
I’m now intentional about how I use social media and emails.
With sooooooo much information and activity online these days, it can be easy to get sucked in and lose all track of time or to completely miss out on what’s actually valuable for you.
