– a conversation with Aramide Fields

How much mental energy do you spend being the person you think you SHOULD be at work and holding back the real you?

Lawyer and mother of three, Aramide Fields, used to think she should be “serious” and limit her expressions of joy while working.

But she’s a naturally joyful person who loves to dance, laugh, and celebrate.

Keeping a lid on her authentic self was actually hard work and it limited her creativity and contribution.

With the opportunity of a new job, Aramide started to do things differently.

She embraced joy at work and was no longer afraid to show it. Now she can be her true self and enjoy her days much more.

Aramide even added #joy to her LinkedIn profile as a topic that she talks about and her posts receive LOTS of positive comments.

In Episode 203 of the Sasuga! Podcast, you’ll hear

  • How Aramide overcame her fear of speaking up and saying, “I don’t understand”
  • How she started a small morning routine and learned that it doesn’t have to be perfect (especially when your kids wake up early!)
  • How Aramide learned from her twins that people have their own unique ways of approaching life and the importance of understanding and working with that

Enjoy!
