a conversation with Mana Ogawa

If you’re like many overstretched, high-potential women in business, you probably think that you’re exhausted at the end of each day because you had sooooooo much to do… .

..just a never-ending onslaught of work tasks and demands.

And maybe you have family responsibilities or other commitments outside work too.

In fact, it’s not just the physical “busyness” that exhausts you. It’s also the mental “busyness” – the constant thinking.

You have too much information outside and inside your head.

I recently heard from Mana Ogawa that nowadays we receive the same amount of information in ONE DAY as we received in A WHOLE YEAR in the Edo era.

This means that the left side of our brain – the analytical part – is overactive and we’re not only tired, but we’re also missing out on the gifts that the right side of the brain – the creative part – can bring.

And as the pandemic continues, we could all benefit from a little more relaxation and creativity to deal with the stress and challenges that COVID brings to our businesses and lives, right?

In Episode 92, you’ll hear

  • How it’s so normal in Japanese society to think about others instead of yourself – and the dangers of that
  • What exactly gong meditation is and its benefits for self-care and creativity
  • The easy way to start your own meditation (without a gong!) to relax your body and mind and boost your work performance

Enjoy!
