Happy November!

Did you do anything fun for Halloween? I got creative and made goodies for a little family party.

Then, on Sunday, I went to a workshop hosted by The Sleep Enclave, which is a new member of the British Chamber of Commerce, where I serve on the Executive Committee.

The biggest takeaway for me from the workshop was this one phrase:

💡 “What timelines are you giving yourself?”

Even though, over the years, I’ve talked a LOT about “less effort, more impact,” I have to admit that…  in recent weeks, I’ve been overloading myself 👉👈

How about you?

This workshop was an excellent reminder to reset. My calendar is already raaaaaaather full with client work and business trips for November, so I’ll be taking extra care with what else I say yes to. Only what easily fits and truly lights me up!

I’ll also allow more buffer time because I know I’m ridiculously overoptimistic about what I can get done within a fixed amount of time.

Yes, even with AI.

Does this resonate at all?

It reminded me of a blast from the past episode of the Sasuga! Podcast: How Long Is This Going To Take? So I just enjoyed relistening to it as I was changing the ink in my printer and preparing some workshop handouts 💕

I appreciated the wisdom of 2022 Helen saying, “Doing quality work may take longer than you imagine.”

But I also realized that

rushing through work simply isn’t fun for me.

I want to enjoy the creativity, connection, and contribution more deeply 🥰

So that’s my focus this month. How about you, superstar?
